This is the main page for a device i am currently developing: an RC car equiped with sensors that make it aware of things like current ambient light, where the road is, object detection, interactive driving (i.e. stoping at traffic lights).
I called it Tobor, not because of the fictional manga character, but because the original idea was to make it as close to a car and different from a Robot as possible (i.e. 4 wheels, 2 turning wheels and not the typical robot-style fixed direction wheels).
In fact, my idea is to create a set of devices that interact with the car or cars.
I plan to start with the electronics and once (if) i succeed, continue with the car aesthetics; if possible, making it with some resemblance to a Tesla Model S.
The prototype uses a Raspberry Pi 2B and an Arduino UNO (for the controller). For the final version i will make a custom PCB with the ATMEGA328P-PU chip for the controller and a shield for the Raspberry Pi 2B.
